A night of history, art, and strategy set for September 18 at Gallery O on H

For more than six decades, The Washington Informer has been a trusted voice for the region’s businesses and communities. On Thursday, September 18, 2025, that legacy will be celebrated at Gallery O on H in Northeast Washington, D.C., with an evening that combines culture, history, and forward-looking dialogue.

The WIN Visual Legacy Exhibit Reception will showcase 60 years of storytelling through the lens of Informer photographers. Their images have documented the struggles, triumphs, and everyday lives that define the Black community in the Washington metropolitan area. The exhibit offers a powerful reminder of how history continues to shape the future.

Alongside the exhibit, attendees will take part in a timely forum: “Positioning DMV Businesses for Growth in a Changing Economic Landscape.” This conversation will highlight how shifting federal priorities, emerging opportunities, and collaboration are influencing the trajectory of businesses across the region.

Featured speakers include:

  • Denise Rolark Barnes, Publisher, The Washington Informer
  • Chinyere Hubbard, President & CEO, DC Chamber of Commerce
  • Kathy Guzman, President & CEO, Charles County Chamber of Commerce
  • Corey Griffin, Chairman, Greater Washington Black Chamber of Commerce
  • Courtney Edmondson, Board Chair, Prince George’s County Chamber of Commerce
  • Tonya Poindexter, Board Chair, Northern Virginia Black Chamber of Commerce

The event runs from 6 to 9 p.m. on September 18 and promises a unique blend of visual storytelling and business strategy. Seating is limited, and early reservations are encouraged.
