Why Art to GO-GO

Art to Go-Go is the arts, cultural and tech development initiative of the Anacostia Business Improvement District and the driving force behind Washington, DC’s official Arts and Culture District in Historic Anacostia.

Art to Go-Go does not represent or manage individual artists. Instead, it works to create the conditions that allow artists, creatives, cultural organizations, and creative businesses to thrive. Through placemaking, transportation, marketing, cultural programming, public art, business support services, partnerships, and district-wide promotion, Art to Go-Go helps build a stronger creative ecosystem that benefits the entire community.

By connecting people, places, resources, and opportunities, Art to Go-Go serves as a springboard for artistic expression, entrepreneurship, and cultural innovation while strengthening Historic Anacostia as a destination for arts, culture, entertainment, and economic development.
