Yessah Music is a Hawaiian reggae band based in Washington, DC, sharing the rhythms, culture, and positive energy of island music with audiences across the DMV. Inspired by the sounds of Hawai‘i’s reggae and island music scene, the band blends smooth vocals, reggae grooves, and uplifting melodies that bring the spirit of aloha to every performance. Members are orginally from Maui Hawaii who moved to DC via the military. Rooted in the influence of Hawaiian reggae and island artists, Yessah Music creates a sound that feels both laid-back and energetic — the kind of music that brings people together, makes you move, and reminds you of the warmth of the islands.
