DC-based artists invited to explore the connections between water, culture, community, and the environment.
The DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities (CAH) is now accepting applications for its Fiscal Year 2027 Juried Exhibition Grant (JEG), offering local artists an opportunity to showcase their creativity while exploring the relationship between water, waterways, and the communities they shape.
The exhibition invites DC-based artists to submit work examining themes such as environmental justice, cultural identity, community connections, and the role of water in shaping both individual and collective experiences.
Through this initiative, CAH aims to encourage artistic expression and meaningful conversations about the environmental, cultural, and social significance of water.
An Opportunity for DC Artists
Selected artists will receive grant support and the opportunity to exhibit their work at CAH’s Eye Street Gallery, located at 200 I Street SE in Washington, DC.
The Juried Exhibition Grant provides a platform for local creatives to share their perspectives, engage audiences, and contribute to the District’s vibrant arts and cultural landscape.
Artists working across a variety of creative disciplines are encouraged to review the grant guidelines and explore how their work aligns with the exhibition’s theme.
