The Zenith Gallery in Northwest Washington will present Women Artists of the DMV from Sept. 5–Oct. 18, showcasing works by more than 400 women artists from D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. Curated by Florencio Lennox Campello with co-curator Margery Goldberg, the exhibition is billed as the first comprehensive survey of female visual artists in the region, featuring both established and emerging talent.
Participating artists include Mitzi Bernard, Mentwab Easwaran, Tracie Griffith Tso, Ashley Joi, Becky McFall, Margaret Polcawich, and Jennifer Wagner. Opening receptions will be held Sept. 12 (4–8 p.m.) and Sept. 13 (2–6 p.m.) at Zenith Gallery (1429 Iris St. NW), with artist talks to follow.
The exhibition will span multiple venues across the DMV, including the Katzen Arts Center at American University, The Athenaeum, McLean Project for the Arts, Strathmore Mansion, Pyramid Atlantic Art Center, Maryland Hall, and others.
