Art to Go-Go Shuttle
Route Update: Alternate Route in Effect Due to Road Closures
Due to ongoing road closures, the bus route has been adjusted as follows:
• The section between Thurgood Marshall School and Howard Rd SE remains closed, so we will continue using the current alternate route.
• Skyline is also inaccessible due to ongoing construction.
• As a result, the route will now proceed to the Congress Heights subway station.
• From there, it continues to Cedar Hill Hospital.
• The final stop is the Anacostia Kiss and Ride Garage where the bus will turn around and repeat the route.
We appreciate your understanding and will provide further updates as conditions change.

Art to Go-Go Shuttle
The Art to Go-Go Shuttle is a vibrant transportation service launched by the Anacostia Arts and Culture District (powered by the Anacostia BID) to enhance mobility and connectivity within Historic Anacostia. This free shuttle service is designed to support local businesses, artists, and community members by providing convenient access to cultural landmarks, events, and businesses in the area.
Inspired by Washington, DC’s official music, go-go, the shuttle embodies the district’s creative spirit, featuring the mural “We Are Anacostia” by local artist Luis Del Valle, which celebrates the neighborhood’s rich history, culture, and people.
The shuttle serves as a critical tool in improving accessibility, fostering tourism, and strengthening the cultural and economic ecosystem of the Anacostia Arts and Culture District. Through this initiative, the BID aims to encourage foot traffic, promote local engagement, and ensure that residents and visitors alike can experience the rich arts and culture of Anacostia with ease.
